in the Gardin

another successful easter dinner ; eating too much surprise surprise. yesterday i pulled out my antique road bike & took it for a spin. the sound of it's precision gearing is beautiful. Morgan from Bikeland told me when i first bought it, that in its day it was a "big deal". it's a canadian made race bike not well known, "Gardin". i estimate it was built sometime between 1980-85. i'll research it some more. much like guys & their antique cars, this bike is special & will remain with me forever. picture to come.
.......(5 minutes later) i have just read by sheer coincidence that Joe Gardin the founder of Gardin bikes past away on March 6, 2009. read more http://www.btac.org/news/index.html?id=09Mar06_1
